Karl Fix and Greg Tomczak were coaching LeBoldus Catholic High School in 1980/81 and the Sask U19 team of which 13 out of the squad of 23 were from this school, which also played 2nd division for the Grads. Seeing the Grads were very good and also young, they thought these young athletes would have difficulty moving up to 1st division. Lee decided to start a new club to give them that opportunity. To start their new club young players like Tim Sinclair, Paul Welsh, Russ Kleissimger, Shawn Milligan, Chris Lasher, and Bruce Brunette along with another fellow Campion Grad Chris Bayda were part of the inaugural Rogues club. Lee also invited John Schofied at the time the provincial coach to take on that role for thus new club and Leo Lane, Condor president at the time, to take on the role as club president.
